In a pot of boiling salted water, add the pasta and cook as per packet directions.

To make the pesto, place carrot tops, yeast, pine nuts, oil, garlic, salt and pepper into a blender and combine into a smooth paste (add more olive oil if necessary for a smoother consistency).

Add cooked pasta to the pesto and toss to combine.

Sprinkle with additional nutritional yeast or parmesan cheese.
