1. Pre heat oven to 180°C.
  2. To make the sauce, heat oil in a pan on medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 2 minutes continuing to stir.
  3. Stir in passata, bring to the boil and turn down to simmer. Cook for 10 minutes, season with salt and pepper. Remove garlic cloves.
  4. To assemble the lasagna, firstly pour enough sauce onto the baking dish to cover the base of the dish.
  5. Next, place a layer of lasagna sheets, sauce, ham, mozzarella, basil, parmesan, ricotta and pesto and repeat.
  6. On the final layer, finish with mozzarella and parmesan, to form a crust when baking.
  7. Bake lasagna in the oven for 30 minutes or until cheese is bubbling.
  8. Serve and enjoy with family and friends!
