To make the meatballs, combine chicken sausage meat, basil and 1/2 cup parmesan together in a medium mixing bowl, mixing until well combined.

Roll mixture, with slightly wet hands, into 20 small balls and place on a baking tray.

Into a pot of boiling salted water, add the pasta and cook as per packet directions.

Meanwhile, heat the pasta sauce in a medium saucepan over a medium heat, add half a jar of water and bring to the boil.

Drop the meatballs into the sauce and cook for 10 minutes or until meatballs are cooked through. Add the spinach, stirring gently to combine and cook for 2 minutes.

To serve, toss the pasta with the tomato sauce and meatballs, and to finish garnish with extra parmesan if desired.
